1996 Honda Accord Stereo/Radio Replacement

In 1996, the Honda Accord came with an ordinary single-disc CD player AM/FM stereo. Choices for 1996 Accords included multi-disc CD changers. 6. Take away the two screws on the entrance aspect of the gear selector lever meeting with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
7. Pull the ashtray from the dashboard.
8. Take away the screw on the rear of the ashtray opening with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
9. Lift the dash panel that surrounds the stereo and the gear selector lever away from the dashboard. Grab the panel near the center console (it has been moved rearward) and pull it up and away from the dashboard.
10. Take away the two screws under the pocket underneath the factory stereo with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
11. Pull the manufacturing facility stereo from the stereo mounting dock. Disconnect the wiring to the back of the factory stereo.
12. Slide a faceplate adapter into the vacant opening left by the removed manufacturing unit stereo.
13. Connect the stereo wiring to a wiring harness adapter. Connect the wiring harness adapter leads to the again of the aftermarket stereo you are installing.
14. Slide the brand new the stereo into the stereo mounting dock through the faceplate adapter.
15. Replace the two screws beneath the pocket under the new stereo with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
16. Change the dash panel that surrounds the stereo and the gear selector lever. Press down on the panel, and around the perimeter, to snap it back into place.
17. Replace the 2 screws between the center console and the gear selector lever assembly with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
18. Replace the screw behind the ashtray opening with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Place the ashtray back into its slot.
19. Push the middle console forward to meet the panel that surrounds the gear selector lever.
20. Change the three screws within the cup-holder compartment with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Place the cup holder into the compartment and press it right down to snap it back into place.
21. Replace the two screws on the bottom of the middle console compartment with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Change the panel that covers the screws on the bottom of the middle console compartment.
22. Place the adverse battery cable onto the negative lead post of the battery. Tighten the cable clamp’s retaining bolt to safe the clamp to the lead publish, using a 10mm wrench.
